2012 Operation Rice Bowl

Could you survive on a single bowl of rice everyday for the rest of your life? For many people across the world, that bowl is empty. It is our mission to give them a hand up, and to help fill the bowl. Operation Rice Bowl is the official Lenten program of Catholic Relief Services. Operation Rice Bowl calls participants to pray with their families and faith communities; fast in solidarity with those who hunger; learn about our global community and the challenges of poverty overseas, and give sacrificial contributions to those in need.

Operation Rice Bowl offers Catholics in the United States a way to connect with our brothers and sisters overseas. We believe that through solidarity the world can be transformed.
