Students and staff donate items for Thanksgiving food baskets
November 21st, 2017: On November 21st, a dozen Archbishop Murphy High School students loaded the St. Vincent de Paul truck with donated food items for Thanksgiving. The donation was part of AMHS’ Operation Turkey Drop, collecting food baskets for those in need in the greater Snohomish County during the month of November.
The generosity was so overwhelming that the school more than doubled its goal of 1,000 items. All in all 2,447 items were collected to create Thanksgiving food baskets; including, turkeys, hams, gravy packets, instant stuffing mix, canned vegetables and more.
The freshman class created Thanksgiving cards to accompany the baskets.
