Archbishop Murphy High School Campus • Terry Ennis Stadium

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are planning to have these end of year events on campus. While we are working with the Archdiocese of Seattle for permission to hold Mass outdoors in the Terry Ennis Stadium and are praying the weather cooperates for both Baccalaureate and Graduation, we are also able to transition to the AMHS gymnasium, if needed.

In compliance with the most up-to-date county and state requirements for in-person gatherings and guidelines for graduation ceremonies, we are pleased to announce that we are able to increase the number of guests by creating a seating section for vaccinated individuals only:

  • All seniors will be given 2 guest tickets for Baccalaureate and 2 guest tickets Graduation.
  • You may request up to 2 additional tickets (not to exceed 4 total per student), if you can show proof of full vaccination for at least 2 of the guests upon entry.
  • In order to help with our planning, please RSVP no later than Friday, May 14th.

How do I RSVP?

  • Please RSVP by completing this RSVP Form: click here to access.
  • If you have any difficulty accessing this form, you can also RSVP by contacting Dean of Students, Mr. Jeff Latta at jlatta@am-hs.org or (425) 379-6363 ext. 302.

What COVID-19 Safety Protocols are in place?

  • All attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain 6 feet physical distance with individuals who do not live in the same household.
  • If you are planning to sit in the vaccinated section, you will need to show proof of full vaccination upon entry. This is defined as 2 weeks after your 2nd dose of Moderna or Pfizer or 2 weeks after a single dose of Johnson and Johnson.
  • Individuals seated in the general section do not need to show proof of full vaccination upon entry.
  • To help minimize contact and potential for spread of germs, we will not shake hands with the graduates when awarding their diplomas.

How should seniors prepare for the Graduation Ceremony?
Graduation Practice for Seniors
Seniors are asked to report to school at 10:45am for graduation practice in the Terry Ennis Stadium. Grads are required to wear a mask and keep social distance. Practice will last about an hour and a half. The Development office will provide a treat after practice for the grads!

Graduation Ceremony Student Attire
Seniors must be dressed in their cap, tassel, and gown when they arrive at 6pm. Black dress shoes are required for everyone. Low heels or flats are best because of the number of stairs and length of the ceremony. Dresses are required for girls. Boys must wear dark slacks, a white dress shirt and a conservative tie.

Attending the Graduation Ceremony
Gates will open at 6pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 7pm. Please remember that no one will be allowed entrance to Graduation without a ticket and no one will be permitted to sit in the vaccinated section without proof of full vaccination.

What is the Graduation Ceremony etiquette?
Out of courtesy and respect for all of the families we also ask that no noisemakers or inflatable objects be brought to the graduation ceremony. It is our hope every family will be able to hear their student's name as they are recognized and called across the stage. We will have professional photographers taking pictures of your student as they cross the stage.

When can seniors pick up their Diplomas and school records?
Diplomas and cumulative files will be available on June 30th for pick up at AMHS. In order to pick up diplomas, all accounts with the Business Office must be paid in full. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact Roberta Ryan. Questions regarding the diploma and cumulative files, contact Mary Thompson.

Thank you for all the sacrifices and contributions you have made over the past four years. We appreciate your support and look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of your student within the coming weeks.

We will be livestreaming the graduation ceremony so friends and family of our graduating students can join in the celebration. The link will be on this page a week before graduation.
