Business Pathway Program


The AMHS Business Pathway Program empowers students to pursue their curiosities and futures in the myriad of career pathways available to them in local, national, and global markets. Committed to cultivating insight, the program enhances student understanding of business administration, marketing, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship through a specialized curriculum and experiential learning. In alignment with the mission of AMHS, the program is committed to providing opportunities to develop the necessary skillsets and ethics to function effectively in the 21st century workplace.


Isaac Melum is the Director of the Business Pathway at Archbishop Murphy High School. A graduate of Gonzaga University (Bachelors) and Northern Arizona University (Masters), this is his 9th year at AMHS and 13th year as an educator in the Pacific Northwest. He also spends his time on campus managing the student store and concessions booth, advises our DECA chapter, and is the varsity boy's tennis coach.


A student admitted to the Business Program possesses:

  • Motivation and maturity,
  • Strong records and recommendations,
  • A high quality personal interview,
  • Approval of the Administration and the Director of the Business Program,
  • And the ability to participate in the program’s activities and projects outside of regular school hours.
