“Our journey in faith will challenge you to be people who will work for peace and justice, who will recognize Christ among the poor and homeless, who will be faithful to the challenge of the Gospel and the tradition we share as a faith Community.”
Archbishop Murphy High School strives to inspire and develop Christlike leaders for the transformation of the world. As students engage in academics, athletics and co-curricular activities, Campus Ministry’s focus is to ensure every student has an authentic experience of Christ’s presence in all facets of daily life.
Be it through celebrations of prayer and liturgy, community service, or retreat experiences, Campus Ministry provides opportunities for the school community to explore a deep, meaningful, and active relationship with God.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORSHIP
Students have many opportunities to grow in their faith through frequent prayer and celebration of the sacraments. Each school day begins and ends with prayer, and the Campus Ministry office hosts weekly prayer groups for students to take part in. Mass is celebrated frequently throughout the year and the sacrament of Reconciliation is available to all students twice a year.
When you join the AMHS family it is important to be involved in the many facets of your school and faith life. Here are some of the opportunities to get connected beyond just the normal school week:
- Sign up to lead daily prayer
- Be an altar server, lector, or a gift bearer during mass
- Stop by for our weekly prayer group
- Get active helping with our yearly food drives: Thanksgiving food drive, winter toy/diaper drive and CRS Rice Bowl
- Join the Life Club to help build the culture of life here at AMHS
