Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School is a private Catholic, college preparatory school that welcomes students of all faiths. True to the spirit of the gospel, Archbishop Murphy nurtures the full development of the gifts that God has given to each student, fosters service as an outgrowth of faith, and values diversity. Our Wildcat family came together for the Kristi Bartz Game in loving memory of Kristi Bartz ‘15 💛
Kristi was a captain in soccer and track who set AMHS records in the 1600m, 800m and high jump, and a friend who made everyone around her better. She led with kindness, worked with determination, and cared deeply for the people beside her. Her strong faith shone in the way she loved others, from our campus all the way to Cambodia, where she shared her love of soccer with survivors of human trafficking on a service trip. More than a decade later, her spirit is still woven into who we are at Archbishop Murphy.
Her retired No. 4 is always on our field, and once again we gathered to let yellow balloons, her favorite color, rise into the sky in her memory.
To Manfred and Karen Bartz: thank you for sharing Kristi with us, and for the incredible gift of her legacy. Through the Kristi Bartz Endowment, born from an outpouring of love from our community, and the Kristi Bartz Memorial Scholarship, Kristi continues to lift up our students, supporting the programs she loved and helping seniors who share her leadership, excellence and compassion take their next step.
Kristi, you are loved, you are missed, and you will always be a Wildcat 💛🐾
