APPLICATION PROCESS

AMHS is a Catholic, college preparatory school that welcomes student of all faiths. The materials you will submit to be considered for admission to AMHS are explained below.

STEP 1: Complete the application form.

STEP 2: Submit the application fee. 

The application fee can be paid online via the same program you used to apply to AMHS or by mailing a check to AMHS ($30).

Note for Early Applications: The early application deadline allows families to receive $250 off the enrollment fee and students who apply early will receive a gift from the admissions office.

STEP 3: Your essay (if you are a 9th grade applicant).

Essay Prompt:

Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more? Suggested length 250-500 words.

*Essays can be submitted directly to admissions@am-hs.org. Please note that this is different than the short response on the application.

STEP 4: Submit the teacher recommendation form. 

Please give this form to a teacher to complete. They should send it to Archbishop Murphy High School (email, fax, or mail is acceptable).

STEP 5: Submit school report/transcript request form. 

Please give this form to the main office of your current school. They should send it to Archbishop Murphy High School (email, fax, or mail is acceptable).
