With that goal in mind, AMHS welcomes international students who are hoping to study in the US with an F1 visa only. The international program is designed for students seeking to enroll full time with the intention of graduating from AMHS.
AMHS is a fun and exciting community to join, even if it is a short amount of time. Exchange students are also welcome to apply to AMHS.
AMHS welcomes students who apply individually or through educational agencies. We currently have spaces available in our 9th-11th grades. 12th grade acceptance is on a case by case basis. Our goal is for students to graduate prior to their 20th birthday.

What makes our program unique?
The AMHS International Program has a long standing tradition of promoting cross-cultural dialogue and inclusion in a small and safe environment. Students will feel supported with weekly check-ins, study halls, and social gatherings. We also have monthly enrichment opportunities, these include; college tours, seasonal activities and excursions to local NW favorites. Furthermore, students are encouraged to join clubs and activities to have the full American high school experience. Academic and emotional-social support are paramount to our program’s success and the participation in the offerings listed above has led to acceptance into top colleges and universities.
Why join the Wildcat community?
Over the last thirty years, AMHS has provided a faith-based college preparatory education that has afforded our graduates the opportunity to attend some of the most prestigious colleges and universities. We guide our students to become strong leaders who are focused on serving their community and world.
Archbishop Murphy High School offers extensive course options, spirited athletics, and diverse opportunities for clubs and other co-curricular activities. Our students pride themselves on success. The value of an education is not only measured by the end result, but by what is learned each step of the way. It is a journey and at AMHS we support our students unconditionally throughout that journey.
Academics
Classes at AMHS are designed to appropriately challenge students to develop critical thinking skills and prepare students to become life-long learners. In a small class environment, students learn the skills and habits needed to be successful as they transition to become adult learners and self advocates in their post high school transition.
AMHS offers numerous AP and college credit classes in science, history, world language, math, social science, and English -all taught by exemplary educators. Over 70% of our faculty have advanced degrees including five teachers who have doctorates.
AMHS provides academic and language support classes for International students. These provide a space for students to ease into the American educational system while also gaining confidence in and out of the classroom. This includes SAT prep courses.
Students can take advantage of our 1-1 peer tutoring program, Math and English writing labs, as well as daily study halls.
Homestay
AMHS does not organize or provide Homestays for International students. We recommend going through GPHomestay or Student Home Stay if you do not have a family member in the area. Proof of health insurance and verified homestay/local guardian is required for all AMHS students. The health, well-being and safety of our students is of the utmost importance.
