INTRODUCING OUR COACH, JORDAN JAMES

There is no one more qualified to coach high school strength and conditioning than Jordan James!

Coach James is the Director of Sports and Wellness at AMHS. He acquired his Bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and his Master’s degree from California University.

James is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, United States Weightlifting, Functional Movement Systems, and Precision Nutrition. He has extensive experience in coaching strength and conditioning at other schools, universities, and fitness institutions. In addition, he has created six high school conditioning programs in the Pacific Northwest.

James is a renowned expert in the field of fitness on regional and national levels. He gives professional talks on the topics of fitness technology, strength and conditioning, and overall wellness. We are lucky to have him coaching strength and conditioning at AMHS.

TEAMBUILDR: OUR ONLINE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TOOL

TEAMBUILDR is a tool designed for the modern fitness training experience. The fitness tracker software is used by high schools, universities, and even on professional sports teams such as the NFL, NBA, and many more. The software not only supports but enhances high school strength and conditioning programs, and our program at AMHS is no exception.

Students and coaches can access TEAMBUILDR online through their phone, tablet, computer, and other mobile devices through the app. The tool allows the coach to create personalized workouts for individuals or groups in real time, which aids in goal-setting and increasing student performance.

Using this tool has revolutionized the way we teach fitness to AMHS athletes. In the AMHS weight room, TEAMBUILDR allows us to display valuable information on our weight room TVs, such as the leaderboard and personal records. It also allows us to have a timer going for every group, which helps students keep track of their workouts.

The app is also designed to keep the coach and the students connected during the in-season and off-season, including through both in-person and remote workouts. Students can record and submit workout videos for the coach to critique and even message each other though the app. The coach can also administer questionnaires and collect data and feedback to help each individual student.
